Some songs come out when you make them.
Some songs have to wait.
“Raining in Dallas” is one of those songs.
I made this song two years ago around the time I signed my record deal. At the time, I had no idea that it would end up sitting unreleased for years. Life kept moving, music kept changing, and the song stayed in the vault.
But when I went back and listened to it, something was still there.
“Raining in Dallas” is a real song about life—the kind of life that comes with constantly working, traveling, moving around, chasing opportunities, and trying to build something bigger for yourself.
And sometimes that lifestyle comes with a price.
Distance can put pressure on a relationship. Being away from somebody you love can create space, misunderstandings, loneliness, and questions that aren’t always easy to answer. You’re trying to build your future, but at the same time, you’re trying not to lose the person who’s been there with you along the way.
That’s what I wanted to capture with this song.
It isn’t just about Dallas or the rain. It’s about that feeling of being somewhere else when the person you care about is somewhere completely different. It’s about the weight that distance can put on two people when life keeps pulling them in different directions.
Two years later, I decided I didn’t want this song sitting on a hard drive anymore.
I wanted people to hear it.
So now, “Raining in Dallas” is finally out.
This song comes from a different chapter of my life, but I think that’s what makes releasing it now so special. Sometimes you have to let a song age before you understand what it really means.
If you’ve ever had to choose between chasing your dreams and being there for somebody you love, I think you’ll understand this one.
“Raining in Dallas” — out now.
Thank you for continuing to grow with me, through the old chapters, the new chapters, and everything in between.
Go listen.
Feel it.
Tell me what you hear.
